I am using the CM Organizer right now and admittedly, I do love it very much! The thing I don’t like is having to be on the computer. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing on the computer as much as the next gal, but I get distracted easily and end up wasting too much time online. I really feel like the best thing for me is to find a paper/ notebook planner to use where I could function 100% even if I never had access to a computer. I have yet to find one that is CM friendly and I wonder if any of you have come across one that might be.
Heather
Sonya ShaferModeratorSusan Chrisman is a long-time CMer, and her planner is definitely CM-friendly.
HeatherParticipantSonya, thank you so much for your post. I want to thank you and Doug for your diligence in encouraging the rest of us in our homschooling. The fact that you’ve just recommended a resource knowing that it means I will be not using your resource much longer just shows the love of Christ you have in your heart and the dedication you have to helping others. Thank you so much!!
artParticipantI second that! Thank you all so much!
missingtheshireMemberCall me someone who goes overboard, but I have Sonya’s organiser and Susan Chrisman’s planner – I love and recommend them both – I found that Sonya’s works great for when I am home – but with all the hospital time we have had I prefer then to have the paper planner – so I use a bit of both. Sonya has the best heart – very generous in spirit. Linda
GemParticipantThere is also this Tanglewood Corebook – it is billed as a CM planner and I bought it a few years ago – it is a download that you print and add your own dates etc.
For just over $5, it is a bargain…I also have the Tanglewood nature notebook, and I have used those pages quite a bit over the years.
stonemomof5ParticipantTHE ABSOLUTE best one I’ve found is called The Image Bearer. It specifically calls itself a Charlotte Mason planner. You can read a review here. Its a PDF file that allows you to fill in the cells, print out, even save individual pages to another file on your computer so you can create and save multiple, say, Master Resource pages and print them out when you’re ready. It used to be sold by Knowledge Box Central. HOWEVER, no matter how I google and search, I cannot find it anywhere, and it’s not on KBC’s site. I just emailed the owner of KBC, who edited the planner. I bought it last year sometime, and have wanted to recommend it to friends, but now it’s gone. So I’m mentioning it just to say, it IS out there, and keep an eye out, and if it ever comes back up, check it out! It’s worth it!
teachme2learnParticipantThis is another option,http://www.helpformothers.org/planner.html. I don’t know how it compares to the other suggestions but….
Oh, and here is a review http://www.homeschoolreviews.org/review.asp?revid=2213.
Sara B.Participantstonemomof4-
If you get a response from KBC, will you let us know? It sounds very intriguing!
stonemomof5ParticipantSara B,
Will do. 🙂 I asked specifically if I can have permission to share it if there is no copyright. We’ll see what response I get.
JenniferParticipantStonemomof4,
I just purchased it off of https://www.theoldschoolhousestore.com.
I found it after a lot of searching.
Jen
Sara B.ParticipantJen, what did you search for? I can’t seem to find it. Or perhaps you could link directly to the product?
Thanks,
Sara 🙂
Haha, never mind – had too many windows open and was searching for the wrong one. 😛 It’s been a long day… LOL
JenniferParticipantHi Sara, Here is the link…
I hope that pulls it up for you if not you can search for image bearer on their site.
JenniferParticipantoops, sorry. I didn’t read the bottom of your post.
stonemomof5ParticipantJen, that’s AWESOME! Thanks for finding it, I just heard back from the publishers and they were telling me it’s no longer available but hadn’t answered my question about sharing it. Good to know it’s really still out there. 🙂 Enjoy!
