I realize that the age recommendation is 8-12 years old, and I do not want to give my daughter anything “babyish.” She really struggles in math, we struggled 1/2 way through Algebra and I decided to take a break. The last semester I have been pulling out review pages from the last few levels of Math U See. I live in a State that does not have grad requirements for homeschoolers and she does not want to go to college – she wants to write books, get married, and have children. She knows if she decides to pursue college one day she will have to beef up on math before she is ready. She will be a senior.

My question is whether working through Your Business Math will help reinforce the skills  she will need to manage home finances. From the sample it seems like everything taught could apply to a household as well. Would it be too young feeling for her? She will also be taking the Dave Ramsey Personal Finance course. Of course I could push her through Algebra, but I am not sure it would be of any benefit to her, considering her future goals.

    Thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I had all four of my children do Pet Shop one year and I am pretty certain two were in High School.  They all liked it and I felt like they learned a lot from it.  It was so long ago now, but I think we did it once per week.
