Can anyone suggest an online alternative to God's World News?

    We’ve been recieving and enjoying God’s World News for the last couple of years. We typically read a little section of it together as part of our circle time each day and look up the places mentioned on the map. Anyhow, we recently moved back overseas and now our mail takes 2 months or more to reach us (we only JUST recieved our January issue), which makes the “current events” not so current. Is anyone aware of any similar kind of kid-appropriate news resource that is available online? I’m considering not renewing GWN just because it’s not super practical for us, but would like to continue doing something like it. My “target student” is 7.5 with a couple of younger tagalongs.

    Did you know when you log into your account on the GWN website, you can download the digital copy of the magazines you read so you can read the current issue? It’s in pdf format and the issues go back several years, so you can look at older ones too. Hope this helps!

    While not necessarily what you’re looking for age-wise, Student News Daily, will be of good benefit in a few years. My dd12 frequents the site in addition to reading GWN. I’ve not seen any other resources like GWN for the younger set. 

    I wonder if GWN may offer a digital only option. It’s perhaps worth asking.

    I just got an email over the weekend that GWN is now offering a digital only subscription! It is going to be $17, but through the end of April it’s only $15. Here’s the link from my email ~ https://www.gwnews.com/subscribe/index.cfm?code=N3BESUB
