Does anyone here use Bsecure internet filtering software? It’s the one recommended by Focus on the Family. I am wondering what you think of it.

I used a free trial of Safe Eyes last month, but I’m not 100% sure I want to order it yet. It seemed to have to be reinstalled every so often after I restarted my computer, even after I made sure my firewall wouldn’t block it. I also think it was causing my aging computer to run even slower at times.

One thing I did like about Safe Eyes was that I could set levels of filtering for my kids but then add specific sites they were allowed on and block other sites that Safe Eyes didn’t block at the child’s individual level. Does Bsecure allow for that as well? I couldn’t quite tell from their website information.

    Hi Sue,

I have never used Bsecure, but we do use an internet filtering software called Blue Coat K9 Web Protection.  It is free to download.  We have used it for a couple of years now and it works very well.  You can set the levels of protection.  You can turn it on and off with the password.  I recommend it to all my friends.
