Books on Tanzania

Hello!  My 8-year old (but gifted) son has requested learning about Tanzania for geography this year.  We’ve studied Tanzania before using wonderful picture books, but now I’m looking for something more in-depth.  I would like to include the Serengeti and Mt. Kilimanjaro (though they don’t need to be in the same book), and the books could even be fiction.  We love stories, so I even checked out a couple of adult books to see if any would beautifully describe the country/people/animals in words, or if we could even turn Tanzania into a study of East Africa, etc.  Does anyone have any suggestions for books that would be appropriate for this?  Thanks for your help!!
