PollyParticipantMy daughter is turning 9 in 2 weeks. I always by her a book/books for her birthday. I need some options. Having older children, I’m struggling for something we don’t already have. I’m pretty picky about our books. Good values, attitudes, and living books.
Thank you!
Polly

PollyParticipantWe already have all those that are mentioned. 🙂 Thank you, though! Any other ideas?
jill smithParticipantThe girl of the Limberloft is a old book, it may be out of print but a great book for girls.
RobinPParticipantBooks by Carolyn Haywood or Hilda van Stockum?
Alicia HartParticipantmy dd 9, really enjoys the lamp lighter books and the trail blazer series
PollyParticipantThank you, Ladies!
crazy4boysParticipantLaddie? L.M. Montgomery (I loved the Emily of New Moon series). Viking Quest series (Lois Johnson).
I have the same problem with my son. Too many older brothers ahead of him!
pianogirl363ParticipantA few books that my girls (ages 8 and 10) love:
The Good Master – Kate Seredy
Jorli – Johanna Spyri
Just David – Eleanor Porter
The Tanglewoods’ Secret – Patricia St. John
