My daughter is turning 9 in 2 weeks. I always by her a book/books for her birthday. I need some options. Having older children, I’m struggling for something we don’t already have. I’m pretty picky about our books. Good values, attitudes, and living books.

The girl of the Limberloft is a old book, it may be out of print but a great book for girls.

Laddie? L.M. Montgomery (I loved the Emily of New Moon series). Viking Quest series (Lois Johnson).
I have the same problem with my son. Too many older brothers ahead of him!
