I am currently gently introcuing my daughter in Charlotte Mason’s way of education. Step by step as I am re-educating myself so to speak:) One big part is reading stories to her. She still prefers me just orally telling her fairytales that I make up myself (maybe because I am quite good and theatrical at it:-) but that can be quite exhausting on my behalf since it takes lots of mental and emotinal creativity:). So I started just reading stories to her. I got some books (some German classics such as “Heidi”, “Jim Knopf” and short fairytales by Astrid Lingreen) but I am afraid that they are still to complex to understand for her, I don’t want to spoil her openness and interest in listening me read to her. But I find it hard to find good age-apropriate books. I got some books some time ago but realised that they are ‘underfeding’ her spiritually. So I really need some good advice on what books to get. German and English is both fine. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for any help in advance and many blessings (how wonderful the calling of a peace-maker that is given to us mothers!)
