I sent a box of stuff last August and they were still around, but I just went to their blogspot/website and it has been taken down. I’m glad you brought this to our attention, although it’s sad.
About Book Samaritan, I read a post on Well-Trained Mind, posted on Feb. 6, 2016, that says she got an email from the owner who said she took down the website for now in order to get caught up on the backlog of orders/donations.
If you wish to get in touch with Book Samaritan to donate or ask for help, here is her email address: booksamaritan(AT)sbcglobal(DOT)net.
MelissaB – Book Samaritan is an organization that you can donate your no longer needed homeschool books to and they will give them to families that can’t afford to buy them.
Thank you so much for that, Sue. I will email them.
MelissaB, Book Samaritan is an organization that distributes homeschool curriculum to people who would otherwise not be able to afford it. I’m not even sure how you apply for receiving books from them, but I do know that they accept curriculum donations.
Oh that’s so good to know. I’ve had some stuff I want to donate as well. We’ve been both a recipient from them, and donators at various times in our journey.
