Book recommendations for intro to world history

I will be introducting world history to my 9yo and 6yo boys this year. I have a lot of books but am not sure where to start – world history is a definite weakness of mine. Here are some of the resources available to me as a spine, but I am also interested in any good historical fiction or bios that would fit the bill, too.

-Picturesque Tale of Progress – Olive Beaupre Miller

-Augustus Caesar’s World – Genevieve Foster

-Birthdays of Freedom, parts I and II – Genevieve Foster

Also, myths, Plutarch, Bible stories, and more. I just don’t really know where to begin. Feel free to share your thoughts on the books I have mentioned, or add your own ideas.
