    We are doing Greece/Rome now and am looking for some recommendations for books for DS to read. He is 10, so the more action the better. He is reading The Legend of Sleepy Hollow right now and really enjoys it, if that helps.

    How about:

    The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood

    Treasure Island

    Kidnapped

    The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

    Hans Brinker or the Sliver Skates

    any of the G. A Henty books based on real people (the ones I have read have been full of adventure)

    Alice in Wonderland (full of strange adventures)

    The Little Britches series (cowboy)

    What about Detectives in Togas? It would fit in with the history and is a good read.
