For those who’ve used CMH/HUFI for quite a while, please explain “Book of Masterpieces” to me.  I can’t seem to find an explanation anywhere.

    TIA

From what I remember she printed 4 x 6 copies of their art studies and her daughters kept them in photo albums.  She also may have used the pictures as desktop backgrounds.  I will look for the link in a bit.  We did that for a while, but I have chosen to return to 8 x 10 prints because you miss details in a smaller print…and my eyes aren’t as young as they used to be…

We used large copies and then did small copies for the albums. I loved that! We do picture study as part of co-op now and each child has a large print, but I may return to printing 4×6 copies in addition. Dd13 treasured hers!

yes, my dc seem to prefer the 4 x 6 copies to the larger ones…i will probably continue to print the smaller ones for their albums and use the large ones for my mastepiece book.

Okay, so I’m already doing this.  Giggle.  I thought maybe the kids were keeping their own renditions, or something else entirely.  Thnaks ladies!

Just wanted to add that this school year I am going to ask them to make a “copy” of a couple of each artist’s pictures.  There pictures will not necessarily be acrylic copies but watercolor,  pencil, pastel or whatever medium they choose.  If we do three artists per year they will have completed 6 works each year!
