Book of Legends by H. Scudder or English Fairy Tales by Jos. Jacobs??

I can’t decide between these two. Does anyone have experience with both and can give me their perspective on why one may be better or more suitable than the other? Or just tell me your preference adn why?

Or would you consider them fairly equal and it’s IMPOSSIBLE TO CHOOSE!!  So then I’d have to just find a way…

My children are 11 and 12 and this is for our 14th-17th cen. time period reflecting European culture next year.
