I made a template for my oldest daughter’s high school Book of Centuries. It turned out very well, so I thought I would share. You can see it/download it at my blog.
Thank you for posting your Book of Centuries. I love it. I just printed it off. Your blog is wonderful as well. The music that is playing, is it available on a cd? I would like to get it if possible. In Messiah, Melanie
I love your blog! I also like the way you laid out the schedule for Allie for 9th grade. It is very helpful, because we are just starting with CM and I too have a 9th grader. I need some sort of guidelines, besides the basic ones that my state has. It also gave me some ideas.
I also wanted to say that I have mentioned sewing to my 9th grader. She didn’t seem to understand that you can actually make cute clothes yourself, until I showed her your daughter’s blog and she loved one of the skirts that your daughter made.
I am so glad you found our schedule useful. That is why it is there. I am also thrilled anytime a girl gets excited about sewing. Here is a link to a skirt pattern that is lots of fun and here is a fabric store online that we love. Have fun!
My youngest DD, 10(11 in July) got a sewing machine for Christmas. She had been asking to learn to sew for a long time. She is so excited and will also love the pattern and fabric site. Thanks for the links! I learned to sew when I was about that age.
Wow! You did a very nice job on your template. Thanks for sharing.
I see we have some mutual friends — at least you have their blogs listed on your blog — Regan Family Farm and Feminine Farmgirl — We did science co-op with them a couple years back but they were not able to continue with us. We live across town from each other but we occasionally see each other. How do you know the Regan’s?
That is very nice! I like the ‘topic separation’ style of it. I am curious; will she just write in this one and not use any cut figures?
It gave me an idea that if one wants to use figures and wants to have room to write stuff wihtout there being a crowding situation (always an issue in my mind with all of the normal timelines); use your style for written explanations and then Sonya’s style for the figures.
Again, thanks for posting! BTW, your blog photo of Buffs and barreds makes me smile; we have Buff O’s and Barred Rocks (mainly BUff’s) and we enjoy them immensely.
My turn, 🙂 Thanks for the template, I was having a tough go writing all the information in our BOC and organizing it. This is just what we were looking for. Thanks again!
Suzq~ I don’t know the Regan’s, just enjoy their blogs.
Rachel~ My daughter is just going to write in her BOC. The figures drove her crazy because she is a bit of a perfectionist. She could never get them to look “just so”…..or worse…..she would discover something new and not have room.
