I was just wondering what others have done for a book of centuries. I like the simplicity of the free download here, but would like more space for modern times (maybe 20ish years per 2-pg. layout for modern, 50ish years for middle ages or so). Anyone know of free/cheap templates to do this? I plan to put them in a 3-ring binder with page protectors. Thanks for any suggestions:) Gina
Well, we actually use the one here. You can easily print out several pages for a certain time span instead of just the one; that’s what we’ve done. Just a thought…. Maybe someone else can list one they use that has more room built in.
Thanks, ladies. After reading your posts and examining the pages again I see how I could make it work and still look neat. I’m thankful for this free resource!!! Blessings, Gina
I used page protectors, and if I had it to do over again, I think I’d go with cardstock. The page protectors do their job of protecting, but it gets to be a pain to wrestle the papers in and out of them every time we want to add something.
I use both page protectors and card stock. My girls are very young and so they paste pictures, and use water colors, etc., so we need something more durable.
I have not made one yet (getting ready to as I’m new to CM). I will be printing on cardstock and spiral binding with my machine. Then if I must add pages later I can always rebind with a new spiral, though I hope to not need to add in pages once I get it set.
We use page protectors and a three ring binder. It’s really nice because my daughter got really interested in one particular event and so she drew a picture and did a written narration and wanted to include it in the timeline, so we just added it to the binder. I like too that if need be, we could always replace a page (haven’t had to yet, but it’s nice to have that option).
