book for teaching the recorder

    Does anyone know of a good book (or dvd)  for teaching the recorder to a 9 year old.  I am not musically inclined at all, so I will need something that will teach him (and me)  everything from the beginning.

    we are using the Usborne First book of the Recorder with some success for ds and me.

    We heartily recommend Penny Gardner’s 9-Note book, noted above.  We’ve all used it.  All thumbs up.  Very easy to use.

    Thank you ladies so much, I just looked at the 9 Note Book and it looks really good and easy to understand.  The price is also great at just $5 for the download version.  I think we will give it try!
