I LOVE the Bob Schultz books, well the two we’ve read so far. What you suggest is exactly what we’ve done: read one chapter and discuss it each week. So far we’ve read Created for Work and Practical Happiness. Both of those I found inspiring, encouraging, convicting, and instructing even for myself. Even though they are addressed to boys the topics covered are applicable to everyone, I think. Well, except the Boyhood book – that’s probably mainly appropriate for boys. 🙂 We read Created for Work for his “year 5” (10-11yo) and just completed Practical Happiness for “year 6.” I was planning to read Boyhood next year, but have decided we need to read Created for Work again. So will read Boyhood for year 8 instead. And who knows, maybe we’ll re-read Practical Happiness again down the road, too. I just gave it to my husband for potential use for his own personal devotion time. I may pick it up myself again. It has some really good thoughts regarding perspective. I have not looked at Everyday Battles. I’ll have to check that one out.
