If you’ve been wanting a high power blender for Christmas – Costco has the blendtec for $319 online – includes shipping! The Vitamix has been in the store for $379ish…, but only one canister for the Vitamix.
My Blendtec came today!!!! I unpacked it and made a capuccino cooler (wrong season, I really wanted a hot mocha, but I wanted to use the blender!). So good.
It seems to be very high quality. The two canisters seem very durable…. I can’t wait to try grinding my brown rice and try more of the recipes that were included.
Oh, and the recipe book is really nice – not like the typical 10 recipes with no pictures that usually come with appliances. IT’s a hard-cover, spiral-bound, color pictures book. And the recipes seem rather typical – not weird. I Think I have all the ingredients on hand for most of them.
So, so, so, so exciting!!!!
Rebekahy, thank you so much for posting about the deal when you did. I ended up and had to pay an extra $15 (non-member surcharge) and had to pay shipping $20– but still, it was a better deal than the other prices I had seen on Blendtec or VitaMix products. And I’m so tickled!
Just to update you all– I’m still in total LOVE with my Blendtec. I just got done using it to make tomato soup to can. I blundered up tomatoes (cut in halves), yellow squash (cut in chunks), peppers (cut in half), and onions (cut in half). It made perfect “juice” that I will cook down until it’s a bit thicker. I added brown sugar and salt and plan to can it as “tomato soup” to use in recipes.
This is the 2nd year I’ve used it to blender up my tomato soup – it’s so fabulous!
I adore my Blendtec, too! I use it for smoothies at least twice a day, and I’ve also made soups, sauces, dips, milkshakes, salsa, nut butter….it blends everything!
At my local Costco a few weeks ago they had the Vitamix road show. I have two friends that adore their Vitamix blenders and have been wanting one for a long time. Well the price tag gave me a tummy ache ($499 plus tax), but in my researching I learned about the reconditioned ones and felt that the price difference made it worth it (they have a 5 yr warranty instead of the 7 yr that comes with a brand new).
Anyway, I happened upon a deal on Amazon last week for the exact one I wanted with the presets in the color I wanted for $329 (no sales tax even). So hubby said “yes” and I’m a proud owner of a Vitamix. I really thought my Ninja was fine until I saw how amazingly creamy things came out in the Vitamix. It’s an amazing kitchen appliance and am so glad we had the money in our budget for me to purchase it. Love it!
I had heard great things about the Blendtec too – yay for awesome blenders! 🙂
