Big THANK YOU to the SCM Team!!

I wanted to thank Sonya and Jon and the whole SCM team for making this past weekend such a blessing for me.  I attended the NCHE conference where Sonya was one of the main speakers, and I went from stressed to blessed.

One of the first things Sonya told me was, “Don’t hit the panic button.”  Well, unfortunately, I already had, and I was feeling overwhelmed with all my inadequacies and failures.  However, after getting clarity from the “5 Flavors of Homeschooling” session, I could walk through the vendor hall with a new sense of calm and assurance.  Then, the “More is Less” session helped me get things back in perspective – we are here to Live well, Love well and Learn well. The other sessions on Habits, Language Arts and Nature study were equally encouraging and inspiring.

Even though I am what many would call a “seasoned homeschool mom” (I am graduating 2 seniors next year.), and even though I had heard some of these topics and sessions before, I still need to be reminded that this is a life we are living and these are people we are raising for eternity.
