What are some of the resources you use for homeschooling, lets share here so we can all benefit. I will go first
1. I use free textbooks from Openstax, they are just books without step byb step problem solutions
2. I also use free textbooks from Openprof , it contains step by step problem solutions and ai chat support.
These are the 2 major ones i know right now. But i want to know more
Great idea! I don’t have a lot to contribute, but there are two resources I’ve been hoping to find if anyone could suggest sources:
-A fairly simple wall timeline that I can put up so we can easily refer to it as needed. All wall timelines I’ve seen are overwhelming and have so much information on them, you’d have to sit down and read them like a book. I’d like something simple with just the most major events and dates so we could look up from a book to point and say, “Here’s when King Tut lived,” or “Here’s when Shakespeare was writing his plays.”
-A “spine” type of geography book, something we could use to look up a country or region and find out some basics about what type of people live there, their language, culture, main industries, religion(s), etc. I bought a Geography Encyclopedia, but it was disappointingly boring and didn’t really cover the information I wanted.
I like a children’s atlas of God’s World. Not every country is included, but it has good pictures and interesting text. Pair it with the children’s version of Operation World called Window on the World and Around the World with Kate and Mac for an evangelism focus:)
