  • I am looking for a solid chronological series of books that cover history. I am looking at Synge, Guerber, Kemp and others, but I have not personally read them. I would like something that is both good for independent reading by kids 10+ or as a read aloud by me.

If you have read through books like this, which series do you like best and why?

    HI,

Now I understand your question on the other post! I wish I could answer you more definitely. The only thing is I think that the application of the Geurber history books stop after the middle school ages; as I recall after another post from Bookworm or someone. I know others on this loop really like the Geurber books.

The series from Kemp and Synge go up to age 18.

I would definitely recommend getting in touch with Lisa at Yesterday’s Classics. She is really nice and will probably be able to answer your questions about the difference between those two series I mentioned.

I love the way Synge writes but I dont the book do not flow chronologically from what I can tell. Kemp’s books do this so thank you for mentioning him as I did not know about his books.
