    I’m looking for suggestions for a sweet read aloud book to read to my daughters at evening time, something inspirational preferably..,maybe a collection of short stories?

    What about the Grandma’s Attic series by Arleta Richardson? We LOVE these books. And I have boys 🙂

    We are enjoying the original Winnie the Pooh stories by Milne.  So much fun!

    I second Grandma’s Attic!! There’s also Heidi, The Original Doctor Dolittle and the Little House series. How old are your girls?

    Kate, my older daughters are 9 and 6. My 9 year old daughter has actually read the Grandma’s Attic book, but it would be fun for me to reread it to both of them together for laughs! My dd6 is currently reading Little House with me before her quiet time. She loves it!

    I never thought of Dolittle, I will look into that one too.

    All good suggestions.  I will add the Betsy and Tacy books — not necessarily inspirational, but sweet.
