I did ballroom dancing as a youngster and got quite good, I have never heard of any DVDs but it is a great way to keep close and enjoy married time together. Our local YMCA has classes, would that be an option for you? Linda
I was hoping to find a DVD to give him for Father’s Day. The only ones I’m finding are not appropriate. I was hoping maybe someone here has used DVD’s as a homeschool family PE experience. I don’t think I could actually do a class. I’d be too embarrassed.
I know what you mean about not appropriate – and that makes it harder. I would not be embarrassed – usually at a beginners class, everyone is a novice and has no clue, and a lot have two left feet – but it does not take long and you will be walzing and quickstepping with the best of them. It is great for togetherness and for fitness – unfortunately my hubby is not into dance at all – so I am out of luck with that – but you are fortunate to have a willing man – I would say go for it. If there is one thing I miss in my marriage it is dancing – I have always loved to dance and in Europe learning to walz is something that is expected – so my mum made sure I knew how. Show your children you can get out of your comfort zone and try something new – that would be good for them too, and once you start, I bet you will wonder what you worried about. Linda
