If you’re interested, I’m posting a few of our finds to Pinterest under Animal Kingdom mainly. I’m missceegee on Pinterest. I would blog it, but I didn’t bring my computer.

Seahorses, sea stars, sea squirts, horseshoe crabs, live and dead sand dollars and all kinds of shells. I’m in my happy place here!

Wonderful pics!  Seahorses and star fish are some of my favorite creatures of God’s creation! Thanks so much for sharing them – I just love visits to the seashore and have long wanted to visit Cape San Blas!  It is definitely on my bucket list.  Have fun on the rest of your trip!

I’ve been diving and snorkeling for 18 years. These are my first seahorse finds! Seining nets and walking at low tide – that’s what I needed to be doing. Thank you dd13’s marine biology teacher!

I’ve sent you a pm with my Dropbox link I case you’re interested. They are mostly underwater pictures and videos.

Ack!  I want to be there!  I showed my ocean loving 8yo and he just kept jumping up and down in excitement and then saying ‘but that’s not fair!’ meaning why isn’t he there.  I hadn’t heard of CSB but I’m looking it up now!  The two prior years we’ve traveled to NJ from NC to see the horseshoe crabs mating but we’re missing it this year.  Do you see large horseshoe crabs also?  Do they come out at night to mate?  If you’re seeing them there we may go there next year at this time to see them ourselves.  (Cape May NJ is supposed to be the best viewing site but it has only been OK the past two years.)

Yes there are large mating horseshoe crabs. I’ve seen fewer this year bc of the amount of wind I think. However over the past few days with less wind, we’ve seen more. I’ll PM you the Dropbox with more pics too. I’ve gotta figure out why some pics aren’t in the right folder when I have a computer in front of me. There are live shells, starfish, etc in the Dropbox.
