It’s so unbelievably hot and gross outside, and my daughter is on “asthma house arrest” until it cools down a little. So yesterday to defeat the boredom we went to our church’s rummage sale and I found the best set of books. It was a boxed set of children’s classics including Treasure Island, Peter Pan, Black Beauty, Heidi, Secret Garden, Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, Call of the Wild/White Fang (both of those are two stories in one book), Oliver Twist, Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and A Little Princess. They were in near perfect condition and in a beautiful box. According to the sweet old woman I bought them from, the original price 15 years ago was around 30-40 dollars. I got it for 8!! What a blessing! The woman who sold it said she knew Kelsey would enjoy them just as much as her daughter did and it made her so happy to see them going to another little girl.
