I just purchased the audio download of Ancient Egypt and Her Neighbors and it is playing as a continuous file with no chapter breaks. Can someone please tell me of there is a way around this, I can’t imagine this is how it is formatted. Thanks

The audiobook file contains chapter markers that can be accessed in iTunes. While the file is playing, you should see a menu called Chapters. If you click that, you should see a list of chapters you can use to jump to the one you want.

Right, the file is still a single “song” in iTunes. Double-click the audiobook to start playing. Once you do that, you should see the Chapters menu appear so that you can access the chapter markers.

I updated my version and did as you said and there is no chapter menu. I clicked on every button available. It is literally treating it as one song on my computer! Thanks for your patience!

Okay, let’s check something. When you downloaded the file, did you choose the .mp3 or the .m4a version? The mp3 format unfortunately doesn’t support chapter markers, but the m4a format does. The m4a file has chapter markers. If you need to re-download the file, it should be available in your account.

Okay, still not showing chapter breaks. I even had my husband help me. I uninstalled and reinstalled and made sure it was the 4a version. Can I delete from my computer and apply this 9.95 to the actual audio CD?

Absolutely. I’ll refund the purchase in a minute.

Thank you Jordan! I will plan to pick it up at the convention where I’ll get to see your folks again! I appreciate your great customer service;)
