I used the Organizer briefly several years ago but had to stop due to financial issues. I’m at a place where I can use it again and I’m thrilled because in all these years of searching I’ve never found anything that comes even close to this.
I added the book Fifty Famous Stories, titled each chapter in the Divisions, and scheduled it for one of my daughters. But the chapters are so short I’d like her to read two or three each day. I thought I remember from my time using the Organizer before that there was a way to dictate how many chapters or lessons a child would do each day, but I don’t see that ability now.
You can just mark “Finished” on however many chapters she reads each day. I don’t think here is a way to schedule more than one chapter a day, but you can mark finished as many chapters per day as you like. Does that make sense? I do this for mine all the time, as they are always asking to read “just one more chapter, please!”.
To change how you marked an assignment, hover over the assignment you mismarked, and there should be an option to “Edit Assignment”. Click that, and it will allow you to change how you marked it.
Okay, thank you. I was just thinking about it for printing purposes. I’d like to be able to print a daily sheet for her and have it tell her how many chapters or lessons to do. I guess I can just write it in the notes.
I did it and I think that will work out fine. 🙂 Except that one of my notes was too long and it got cut off when printed. Could that be an issue with the browser I’m using? I’m using Chrome.
Sorry, I don’t know about that one. I never print things from the Organizer. I’ve just never had the need to. My kids are fine with me telling them what to do next and not following a checklist. I use Chrome too.
Here’s another way to schedule more than one chapter. For one of my resources I knew we needed to read three chapters each day that it was scheduled in order to finish on time. So when I was scheduling it, I selected “custom study method” and then typed in “read 3 chapters.” This way it always shows up right under the resource title.
I hope that wasn’t too confusing 🙂
