I’d like to put an art or craft kit on my 6 YO DS’s Christmas wish list for his grandparents. Any suggestions on something that would be good for a boy of his age?
My 7yo DS is enjoying loom knitting right now. He is making blankets for the girls’ Barbies. They are just the right size for his attention span and need to ‘finish’ something in a short amount of time.
If he’s artistically inclined, he might like simple, “real” art supplies (vs kiddie versions). My 6yo loves working with pastels and watercolor pencils in his sketchpad, and I’m looking forward to getting him some air-dry clay soon as well.
I use this website (among other things) for my daughters. LOL! Someone else on the forum suggested it, but I can’t remember who. Try some of the paracord projects. 🙂
We also use this one, but it’s more girly. You never know what a child may be interested in. 🙂
Just thought about this, too. We made yarn dolls today. You could do boy colored yarns and then add buttons/notions to make them police officers, superheroes, constructions workers, family memers, etc.. You could have a ton of fun and creativity. 🙂
I know this was a year ago but thank you for this! I found a ton of stuff on the frugal boys site for my 6 year old to keep him busy but not with things that we’d soon call trash lol.
