Art Museum asking for ideas…..

    I just got an email from our local art museum asking to meet to discuss ideas to reach out to homeschoolers. I had organized a Fieldtrip there this past Spring for our homeschool group (which has about 150 families… about 25 attended the event). I’d love to come up with something regular that could also incorporate nature study…..the museum is situated on beautiful grounds. And I’m probably dreaming but incorporating some composer study would be an asset, too. They could teach drawing but the one time we did that years ago the class was cheap but pretty much a dud. Basically I’d love for them to create a CM coop for me, lol:)

    I want to run ideas by our group before suggesting anything to the museum to make sure there’s interest. Classical is the rave here, not CM. What would you see as beneficial? Thanks for any input:) Blessings, Gina

    Maybe a “Get to Know the Great Artists” type event? Or, composers. Might need to check with the local symphony. Classical students would appreciate this type of opportunity, too. If they have a classical co-op, make sure to let the Museum know not to schedule it on their meeting day.

    Great ideas. Oh yeah, not scheduling on classical coop days is a good idea. I’ve glanced at Christies coop but will take another peek. Thanks:)
