  • I am doing the Genisis through Deuteronomy and ancient Egypt module and have a question. I notice that the books In the Days of Noah and Adam and his Kin are listed for reading for older children. Would these be ok to read out loud to all the children. I have ages 9 months -17.  I just wanted to make sure the content was ok for the youngers even if they dont understand all of it.

    Thanks  for you help!

There is nothing in appropriate in either book. I would hesitate to read the Adam and His Kin to younger children, because it contains a lot of speculation in the story line and younger children might get confused as to which aspects we know for certain from Scripture and which are the author’s ideas. That’s the main reason I postpone that book until the children are older. I know some moms who read that one to their younger children and just make sure they discuss it thoroughly. So it’s up to you. Smile
