Apologia Science Newbie

Hi, ladies,
I know this may have already been covered somewhere in the forum, but I’m having trouble finding what I need. 😉

This will be our first year to use Apologia with my 7th grade son. I need ideas on how to use it in a CM manner. I have the teacher manual and tests, etc, but I’m struggling to work out how to schedule it all for the year. I don’t want to overwhelm my son who is hesitant about starting this science, but I also know that he needs to be challenged and pushed a little this year, after two years of probably too simple an approach for him.

I’d love to get your input on how you made this work for your family and what your daily schedule looked like for your child. He is the oldest of 5, and I need him to be as independent as possible, within reason, as I have to focus on the younger ones more fully.
