I hope everyone is having a great break (if taking)! I haven’t posted in awhile, been taking a break from school, computers etc.. We recently took the kids to a primitive campground in the Rockies. What a trip! Saw a bear, caught some trout… was a great place for much needed quiet time…. Anyhow, back to school. I guess we did things out of order for my oldest; he skipped both General and Physical in order to take advantage of an Apologia Biology offered in a co op last year. This year I will use Physical for my 8 th grader. So, rather than tackle two Apologias, I was considering letting both do A. Physical this next school year. Could it still be counted as a high school credit for a 10 th grader? Also, I admit that I was not consistent with completing all the labs in the General Science I used for dd. I saw that they offer a dvd that show the labs for Physical Science. Would this be worth getting to ensure they “see” all the labs performed? Finally, my friend has an older edition of Physical (5th printing, J. Wile) Are the newer editions better? More exciting? Been missing everyone here; time to start reading your posts and get remotivated for the fall… Thanks! Marie
I would have no problems using Physical for HS level. I am actually planning this for my 2 younger dc, in their 9th gr yr. It still allows you to get the 3 “key” sciences in, along w/ that, it gives you 4 yrs of science whick will still look good. AND, you’re still doing labs w/ them, so good w/ that aspect, too.
