Apologia General Science users

    Do I need the solutions/test package?  I’ve still not decided on the student notebook either.

    If you are going to check answers to the On Your Own’s or give the tests, then you would need the packet.  If you are going to be doing the book alongside your child, then perhaps you wouldn’t need the answers for the On Your Own’s, but you still wouldn’t have the tests.  Not all of the answers are obvious.  You would have to do some reading to figure out some of the answers.  Neither the textbook nor the notebook contains answers or tests.

    I am having dd12 do Apologia General next year. I did buy the solutions/test because she will be doing it on her own. I also bought the student journal and think it will be a big hit – sort of a hand holding step and saves a good deal of writing. I went on to buy the Red Wagon Tutorial teaching dvd from Amazon, as well as the Lab Kit from Rainbow Resource, too. This will be her 7th grade science and will be mostly independent.

    Thanks.  Unfortunately I don’t have a limitless budget, so math and science seem to be where I am spending the most money.  Unfortunately it means I will likely have to cut back in other areas.
