I personally think it wouldn’t be too young, but the thing to consider would be whether or not your 15yo could get through the series while still under your teaching direction.  I am planning to use the first one this year (my oldest is 9) which would put her finishing the series at 13 or so (I think there are 4 in the series).  That said, maybe you could go through the series faster than one book per year?  I can solidly recommend the STR stuff, though.  I heard Greg Koukl speak at a conference and I get the STR newsletter.  It is really sound, no nonsense apologetics.  I think they have apologetics specifically for teens on their website too.

ps Have you thought of Lee Strobel’s books (A Case for Faith, A Case for Christ, etc.)?

Someone recommended these to me…I haven’t viewed them yet…but there are some free videos on Answers in Genesis entitled “Simple Tools for Brain Surgery.”  They are geared toward teens and part of the Demolishing Strongholds study.

I have to second the Lee Stroble suggestion.  I’ve really learned a lot from reading his “A Case For Christ” and “A Case for Faith”.  Former law editor of the Chicago Tribune, Strobel was an athiest who set out to disprove Christianity after his wife became a Christian.  I guess he wasn’t too happy about it.  In the process of all the research and interviews with dozens of experts, all well respected authorities in their various fields, he had no choice but to accept the truth and became a Christian himself.  Recently he has co-written “A Case for…” books for younger children.  I am planning to buy them for my 10 year old.  He has a DVD serise called Faith Under Fire which our church used for a small group study.  It was a great 8-week series that really sparked a lot of discussion.  There is plenty of material and additional resources listed for further discussion on the topics. 

We also did a 13 week small group study called The Truth project, which was very good, but again better for older teens.  These DVDs are an excellent resource for Christian world view.  The website has lots of resources and articles. http://www.thetruthproject.org/

Finally, try Creation Ministries International at http://creation.com/  The have several free online books and resources you can download.  There are resources here for children as well as teens and adults.
