Anyone read Miriam by Beatrice Gormley?

I am wondering if anyone here has read or had their children read the book, Miriam by Beatrice Gormley? If so, what did you/they think of it? I’m looking for comments on grade level, whether it’s a good add-on for history or just leisure reading, or if you would substitute something else?

I can’t quite remember where I heard about the book; maybe the SCM Curriculum Guide or Discussion Forum?
