This book is amazing! I’m about half way through it and just in awe of George Washington! I had no idea the obstacles he faced from his own country! As I’m reading, I can’t help but think that this kind of living book is EXACTLY what CM was talking about. I can see how a child (or Mom!!) could really connect with this book.
My husband is reading it, then I will, then my son (11) can. Today is the beginning of the Being George Washington Challenge on the Glenn Beck Show tonight at 5pm (he hurt his back Mon., so I hope he’s still on schedule); we are going to do it along with him as a family.
We live in the Dallas area and have signed up for his event in Dallas this summer. I really hope we can make a difference in this country. God has done great things with a remnant. I hope this is the beginning of something great!
I can’t comment on the title book, but if you haven’t seen the book George vs George, you might want to check it out. It’s a fascinating compare/contrast between George Washington and George III – really excellent – with lovely pictures, too. Also the book Bulletproof George Washington is engrossing.
