I would love to do a study group here. I’m on the west side of the state, Montague. I long to have fellowship with other passionate CM moms using the Original Series, a little at a time. I know there must be some others from my area!

I do live in Michigan and I used to lead a CM group. The woman who took over from still leads the group but they aren’t strictly CM any more. We live in Muskegon.

Unfortunately, I live in south eastern MI. However, my in-laws live in Kalamazoo and we do visit them several times a year. Please keep me posted with what you plan to do. If I can be involved, even in a small way, I would be interested.

Yes, Christy, I know the group and have been in it and am friends with the leader. She was great. And you are right that it did change to a more wide range homeschool group, which is not my interest at this time. I really have a heart for JUST Charlotte Mason studies. If you feel God leading you to re-start one that would be awesome. Meeting in Muskegon or between is fine.
Yes, Rebekah. I guess I am waiting on the Lord. It’s been on my heart for quite awhile. We had a co-op here, but just a couple were CM ‘interested’ and that was just for young ones. Many people don’t believe in it for high school, but I sure do. Just take a look at Ambleside and see how rigorous and rich it is!

I would like to be in a study group for CM. I consider myself to be a beginner, as I’ve gotten most of my information from this site over the past year and some from Ambleside. I have 2 children ages 7 and 9. I also know of 2 other moms that might be interested, however they also have younger children. I live in Rothbury, Michigan.

That sounds great. Spread the word and I will, and then in a few weeks we can consider gathering somewhere local depending on where everyone lives. When I met with ladies before, it was at an Arbys in Muskegon–kind of a moms getaway in the corner of the place where we could really focus in. If someone didn’t have the Original Series, they read it online for free. Do you think you and the moms you know would be able to break away for 2-3 hours once a month maybe? Let’s pray about it and wait.

Yes, many blessings to all of you! I wish more of us were closer geographically. My sister would probably like to join too, but she lives closer to Reed City/Cadillac MI. Oh, well.
Chocodog, what part of the U.P. are you in? I haven’t been up there in years, but have many fond memories. My dad used to take us camping all over up there.
Pam, I have a yes from one other mom so far. I can ask others…..We should meet sometime. I’ll try to send you my email.

It seems as though we are pretty much spread out all over the map. 😛
I’m in Southeast Michigan. Rebekah P, maybe we’re neighbors…?
Are any of you headed to the INCH conference this weekend? I hope to make it there one of these years, when we can find a brave soul willing to watch all of the children and all of the animals. 🙂
