anyone done Barton? did you use anything for spelling review afterwards?

My 9 YO should finish up Barton 8 around June 1 and we’ll stop there.  Our HS curriculum is not writing heavy and I’m concerned that he’ll forget a lot of the spelling rules over time if he’s not using them regularly.  Did anyone  do Barton and do any sort of spelling review after finishing it?  Would studied dictation be helpful just for review (and if so, which Spelling Wisdom book would be a good one to start with?)
