I happen to find this at the Friends of the Library for .10, so I thought I’d buy it.  It’s about a boy in the 1930’s who is Cherokee.  Sound familiar anyone??

    TIA

Nevermind, I read some about the book (and its author) at google books and wikipedia.

We read it many moons ago, and if I remember rightly we enjoyed it – but for the life of me, I cannot conjure it up right now…..

Thanks Linda.  I read a bit of reviews on googlebooks which led me to wikipedia, like I mentioned.  I wasn’t too thrilled with the description of the author, but I know that good/great classics have been written by people that we wouldn’t necessarily socialize with as wellWink.  I just didn’t know if it was a keeper or if I should pass it along.

    Thanks a bunch.
