  • My son is finishing up with Teaching Textbooks level 5 soon. Although I like the program, I still feel he needs to solidify what he has learned with fractions. I’m wondering if I should order Math U See Epsilon for this? I hate to waste time on things he already may know, but I’m thinking it will really help him SEE what’s learned. (and give me peace of mind that he knows it.)

Should I just move on, or stick with fractions for a few more months? I don’t want to get too behind by not going on through.

I don’t know anything about MUS, but I will say that I’ve heard Life of Fred fractions is good – have you looked into that?

I agree. If you’re just looking to solidify, I think LOF would be good. And it’s fun:)  We did both LOF and MUS fractions last year. We didn’t complete LOF, just used it for some supplementation/different presentation.  It doesn’t take much time and would be cheaper.  HTH some:)  Gin

No I haven’t. I’ll check into that, thanks!

My girls started MUS this year and I’ve been very impressed so far. I was thinking of switching my son to this, but I really like the ease of Teaching Textbooks. But like I said earlier, I still feel he needs a little more before moving on.
