I have a daughter who doesn’t think she is good at.. Or likes… Math.  She is almost 15 and just about ready to start Zeta in Math U See.  She tries to memorize the steps to do the problems, but often doesn’t get either the full application or the reason being the methods.  I think, like someone mentioned in the other post, that I may need to tutor her for a while.  But I’m wondering if LOF might help guide me through that better, as far as giving more ideas for real life application of the concepts being learned.  Thoughts?

It depends on if she likes LOF or not, and if she likes a story format. I have three highschoolers who used LOF as a break, but returned to MUS. Two of them enjoy LOF as supplemental math literature.

My younger dd does not learn math well  from LOF. She reads the stories and enjoys them as a supplement.

My experience is that my math guy loves LOF but my verbal girl just can’t learn from it. She needs her math explanations to be much more direct.
