I am proud to announce the birth of “Golf”, a little girl on Wednesday morning. She was 8 lbs 8oz, and 21 inches long. We got out of the hospital yesterday. Will give more information at a later time, but as people can imagine, I’ve been very busy!
(if wondering about the name…. we use code names online…)
Congratulations on the birth of “Golf” I am very happy for you. Enjoy your new little one and may God bless her always and may you all be blessed by this new addition. Linda
Congrats on Golf! I hope you are getting enough rest and everyone is being very helpful. May God bless her and you as you transition into these next few days. Misty
Congratulations to you all, and welcome ‘Golf’. I was just looking at my 2 year old sleeping last night and was thanking God for entrusting her to us. She’s so beautiful. I hope you thoroughly enjoy her every moment.
Side issue: We have been doing lots of research and I have just finished comparing Singapore Maths and MEP and I still think MEP is the best! We also tried Math Mammoth and looked at Rightstart, Shiller, Math On The Level, MMM, MUS, Saxon, Targeting Maths, Signpost Maths, Easy Start to Maths. MEP seems to offer everything and more of what these offer, the only difference being that I have to read Lesson Plans before just to make sure we have what we need, but it’s worth it for the quality of the programme. Being in our first year I have looked at many curriculums to make sure I chose the best for us. I’m now convinced. Just thought you might find it interesting. Diagrams in Singapore and MEP are very similar, but MEP seems to introduce all things at least a year (or 2) earlier. So if your children are loving it still I’m so glad.
Thank you everyone. Golf is doing fine, although feeding her has been a bit of a challenge – I am having to supliment her. She is mostly sleeping well (although a few nights I wouldn’t have said so) and I have even had to wake her to eat. That said – there have been times like it seems like she has insisted on not sleeping at all!
As for her arrival, she came quite quickly – from first contraction about 12 hours – from the time we left for the hospital, less than 3 hours…. Very intense – but quick.
Renelle – yes, my children still enjoy MEP. Echo has finished the reception year, and Delta is most of the way through year 1. I feel that they both have a very good handle on the math they have been taught and it is still their favourite topic.
Gotta go!
