Anne of green gables costume?

    My dd 8 wants one. Anyone here ever found something cheap online? Not a lot of time here to sew one…

    I looked around and prices are expensive.  Could you throw one togeather from thrift store/garage sale finds?  All the pictures looked different, but her dress was esentually a chambrey or flowered long sleave shirt with a sleaveless brown or gray dress or brown or gray dress with an apron over it and a straw hat.  If you google Ann of Green Gables under images you could get an idea of what you are looking for.  Here is a link http://foreveranne.com/make-anne-green-gables-costume-0

    I agree….  a long sleeve dress (probably down to knees) of a drab colour with an apron (full apron)…. a straw hat… and of course long red hair (wig?) in braids.
