Maybe. Here is what you find in the teacher’s book:
1. A cd that has any reproducibles (worksheets, coloring pages, quizzes, things to print for experiments/demonstrations). You can live without it but if the text references printing something, like the skeleton to label, you won’t have it in the student book.
2. Answer key for the book. I don’t worry about having this, as I’m reading the text to the kids so I already know the answers to the questions and we don’t use the quizzes. But some people like it.
Another good thing to know is this: The cd contains the reproducibles for the entire curriculum (all color/theme books). So if you decide you don’t want the answer keys but end up getting other theme books later on you will have the reproducibles for them already on this cd. 🙂
