Though Amy Carmichael isn’t first thought of as a poet, I have loved reading her story this year and want to study her poetry this next school year with my children. I read her biography by Elizabeth Elliot and while her story is powerful, the biography feels a bit dry. Wondering if any of you know of another book on her life that would be considering a living book? We also have the YWAM book on her, but those (in my experience) have also not felt as rich as they could be in terms of language and story development.

    Thoughts?

Elizabeth Elliot’s book was dry to me to. But Mimosa — AWESOME! It’s by Amy and though it’s not about her life exactly, it’s about her ministry.

With Daring Faith by Rebecca Davis. Read this one with my kids this year and they loved it. 🙂 It inspired me to read Elisabeth Elliott’s.
