alternative to Story of the Romans?

    Hi,

    The Story of the Romans is part history, part legend/folktale.  I do not like the book- I’m interested just in history.  Is there an alternative living history book I could use?

    I am following too. I am not sure my 2nd grader and kindergartener will do well with it next year. I am thinking of reading an usborne book maybe a book called see inside a Roman city, twice freed, perhaps some paraphrase from my own Abeka history texts from middle schoool and highschool, the Gospels and ACTS, calling it good and going into the Middle Ages. I am also aiming for a 4 or 5 year rotation. I’d love a better plan😊
