Alternative to Oxford First Ancient History

    I am wondering if anyone uses a different book than Oxford First Ancient History.  I have not seen it, but my husband prefers books without evolutionary content or nudity (the description in the bookfinder says it contains both of these).  Are the pages with these actually part of the assigned reading, or just in the book on other pages – excuse my poor punctuation; when I try to place question mark, I am getting an É instead!!

    Of course you must make the best decision for your family and obey whatever you husband decides, but I will try to answer your questions.  The first chapter that talks about “millions of years ago” is not used in the SCM Guide.  You could easily tape these few pages together.  As for the nudity, it is minimal, and your handy Sharpie could supply the needed attire. 

    If you do in fact need an alternative, you could look into the Mystery of History vol. 1 or SOTW volume 1.
