I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a more modern alternative to the American Boys’ Handy Book. Our son is enjoying reading through it and there are a few things in it that he’s tried (thankfully not the taxidermy!), but with it being written in 1890 I was hoping for something more practical for today. I have searched the web and come up with a few ideas, but would sure love to have a book that’s not girl-oriented crafting.
