Alternative for the Christine Miller books for History?

    Hi!  I am not going to be using the suggested books from Nothing New Press – the Christine Miller Books, and I am wondering if anyone has an alternative to those for each of the history modules?

    You could use the Famous Men series that was in the original plans.

    There are other comprehensive histories of Greece:

    The Story of Greece by Mary MacGregor

    On the Shores of the Great Sea by M. B. Synge

    Stories from Greek History

    Greek Gods, Heroes and Men

    Story of the Greek People

    Greek Life and Story

    And for the Romans:

    Stories from Roman History

    The Story of Rome

    Story of the Roman People

    The City of the Seven Hills

    You may look at each of these and more at Heritage History.

    We REALLY like the Mary MacGregor books.  HIGHLY recommend them.
