I’ve just started using it in the past couple of months. I’m using it for extra reading for my boys. They read a ton, so I like to add in some extra on the subject we’re on. Unfortunately it seems our library doesn’t carry most of them. Getting quite annoyed with our library. They carry tons of J-U-N-K but not a whole lot of good stuff. I do have them do interlibrary loan for me, I just need to get better at timing it b/c they don’t let us renew items that are on interlibrary loan.
I love this resource and I can get it through the library! I use it when I need to find a substitute for a SCM suggestion that isn’t available through our library and extra reading. I love that it’s broken up by grade levels and her timelines are wonderful resources, too. Saves me a little time. Highly recommend it!
You know, I was so excited about ATTA and Truthquest last year and acquired them. We didnt use them much. (we weren’t using the CM method) The first issue was I heard about lots of other neat resources, free and on line, and I went with those. Second, not many of the books were in my library and while I can use ILL, it’s unpredictable as to when it will arrive. Third and last was I found books just as good on my own just looking through our library system.
Now, if all the books in both resouce guides, or at least a great deal of them, were to be found in our library system, I would be using it for pretty much everything. Since that’s not the case, I’m no longer a fan of these resources. And now that CM has a different list, I’m sticking with the ones listed.
FWIW: I would borrow the books from someone and check them against what your library has in their system, as well as what’s in ILL. Once you know how much you might be ILL’ing, it may help you to decide if they are worth the purchase.
