I have one set of magnetic tiles and use it with both, but I do have two kids using the program and have 2 student packs, but different levels. Two would be beneficial b/c you could easily keep track of what each child needs to review. For example, child 1 needs to review ch, sh, ea, while, with and child 2 has those down pat and needs to review ng, silent final e rules, chew, shoe. I’m sure you could figure out a way to make 1 set work for both, if need be, though. For me, it would be simpler to have 2 sets.
If you can afford it, I would get 2 sets. I started with one because like you I have 2 at the same level, but I quickly saw how easy it would be with 2 sets and purchased another. Yes, you can make it work with one, but I love having 2. Like Christie said, they can share the letter tiles no problem, but it’s nice to have 2 sets of cards.
Thank you missceegee and Hope. I will try and get two sets. Our finances are extremely tight, but at the same time, our kids need a quality and enjoyable education. My girls will probably progress at different rates, so this will probably help. My oldest is 1st grade and struggling with dyslexia issues and my youngest just turned five and is reading at an almost 2nd grade level. My youngest usually wants to do things with us so I want it to be available for her and foresee her running ahead with it.
